Running and driving ’72 Datsun 510 Wagon. While it IS running and does drive, it has been sitting for a few years, i would not trust it to drive any significant distance. If you are interested, you should plan for a trailer to move the vehicle. I purchased this wagon in 2014 out in Calexico/Mexicali and drove it back to Georgia, drove it for a few years, then had to store it for the last 3 years.
Actual mileage is unknown, only has a 5 digit odometer. As a 47 year old vehicle, that 5 digit odometer has probably rolled over at least once. The engine was pulled out of an ’84 300ZX (with unknown mileage as well). Body and interior are in good (not great) condition, considering the age of the vehicle. Seats, carpet, and headliner have been redone. Headliner and door panels will need still some more attention. Rear is lowered on blocks so it sits lower than stock, this can cause some axle wrap at higher RPMs, additional work is needed to prevent it, or just remove the lowering blocks.
As a vehicle with an engine swap from a completely different model of vehicle, it has some idiosyncrasies.
New clutch master and slave cylinders. I have a new clutch kit that has not been installed, the clutch is currently fine, with a little bit of chatter.
Overall its a good starting point for a larger project, or something that will take minimal to no work as a nice wagon to cruise around in.
Roof is painted as a cross between a Japanese and Korean flag as the previous owner was of Japanese and Korean descent.
Audio equipment, and inverter may or may not be included, if you’re interested we can have a conversation about that.
