Runs and drives, steers and brakes, starts easily and idles strong. It’s really original and complete. That said, it’s a project. There is some rust, it could use a tune up and the steering is pretty vague. Brakes work fine, the muffler has a big enough hole to sound good but likely won’t pass smog. Tags are expired but it’s on a non-op so no back fees to contend with. Back seats are OK, front seats need re-upholstery. It’s an automatic and the transmission seems to shift solidly. Roof racks included. The carb just got a rebuild kit applied. All five tires have great tread and are on factory original wheels, it’s even still wearing a set of original hubcaps.
The list goes on with some parts good and bad. With a little work it would make a cute little grocery-getter. I don’t think the factory color was called banana but that’s what it is. I started to buff it out and the color came out pretty nicely, a couple hours more effort and it would be a more even color.
With it’s 1952CC overhead cam motor it’s the biggest motor of the 510 series and really moves with a lot more authority than the smaller power plants.
I bought it to scratch my Datsun wagon itch but it turns out my heart really just belongs to the 210. I’ll fix some of the issues and the price will rise accordingly so this is your chance to get the “I want fewer projects” price.
Clean title, original blue-plate car.
Email or phone but don’t text.
I want stuff too, I’m happy to trade for or buy this stuff:
~1967 Jeep cj5 windshield and steering wheel.
Classic Saab 900 transmissions or transmission parts.
